Desert Tarantulas
The
Desert Tarantula is the largest spider in the world. They are not really dangerous like you see in
movies. They live underground and live
in burrows. Tarantulas sit at the
entrance waiting for insects to wander by.
We see them during mating season, which is when adult males look
for females. Male tarantulas live ten
years long and die after mating. Females
live 25 years or more. They lay eggs
several time in their lives.
